21 September – The Cathedral Church of St Andrew, Aberdeen

Starting into our 2019-2020 year, RSCM Scottish Voices is delighted to be returning to Aberdeen, to The Cathedral Church of St Andrew, with Choral Evensong on Saturday 21 September at 4.00pm. This service is, as with all our outings, open to the public – there will be wonderful music and the service will be led by the Cathedral Provost, The Very Reverend Dr Isaac Poobalan.

Please come along and join us in this beautiful service, and feel free to chat to us after the service. If you would like to join the choir, please contact our Administrator via our website at www.RSCMScottishVoices.org.uk. We are especially keen to hear from any tenors or basses out there.

The music in the service in the Cathedral includes:

Introit: O Sing Joyfully – Adrian Batten
Responses: Humphrey Clucas
Canticles: Ayleward Short Service
Anthem: Blessed City, Heavenly Salem – Sir Edward Bairstow

Our Musical Director for the day is the well known Frikki Walker (Organist and Director of Music, St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Glasgow) and our accompanist, also well known, is Kevin Duggan (Director of Music, Dunblane Cathedral).
